On March 15, 2024, the second online meeting of the Ukraine is in Europe: Solidarity with Ukrainian Youth Artists project took place, bringing together representatives from Culture Hub Bulgaria, INNETICA Spain, and APD Club Buzau Romania. The meeting, held via Google Meet, focused on several important agenda points related to the progress of the project, which supports Ukrainian youth artists displaced by the war.
Key Highlights from the Meeting
- Adoption of the UkraineYouth.eu Platform
The primary outcome of the meeting was the official adoption of the UkraineYouth.eu platform. This online hub will serve as a space for connecting, supporting, and promoting Ukrainian youth artists across Europe. All partners expressed satisfaction with the platform’s design and functionality. Moving forward, partners will continue contributing content, including country-specific information and blog posts. - Deadline for Content Submission
The partners discussed the remaining sections of the platform that require updates, particularly country-specific resources and stories from the project’s target groups. It was agreed that all missing content must be submitted by April 30, 2024. This ensures the platform will be fully functional and comprehensive for its official launch. - Translation Services for Personal Stories
A key challenge discussed during the meeting was the need for accurate translation and subtitling of personal stories from the youth artists. This is essential to make the stories accessible to a wider audience. Both the partners and the Project Coordinator will actively seek professional translation services, ensuring high-quality and meaningful translations for all video content. - Planning the Final Cultural Event
The meeting also covered preparations for the project’s final cultural event, set to take place in mid-July 2024. The event, which will be a celebration of the project’s achievements and a showcase of the youth artists’ work, will be scheduled over a weekend. To finalize the date, the Project Coordinator will send out a Doodle poll, allowing all partners to choose their availability. The format of the event, which may be hybrid or online, will be confirmed after gathering input from all partners.
